Skip and Josh are back and start the show by explaining their self imposed ban on new episodes for the past two weeks. They discuss the Montreal Canadiens series wins over Toronto and Winnipeg and the upcoming series vs. the Vegas Golden Knights.
The guys temporarily return to an old school episode where they cover a wide variety of topics from the words of sports and pop culture from the past month including: more strange injuries and unwritten rules in baseball, the NHL playoffs, how the NFL can make an event out of the release of the schedule, some TV recommendations, a couple of items for the What Bugs Me segment and of course the mailbag.

The guys open the show by discussing the NHL’s big announcement this week outlining their playoff format. Josh had a big problem this week and it was all about Tim Wallach’s pants from 1991, luckily he was able to get some outside help to solve the mystery. Recorded May 27, 2018. Skip and Josh start the show by discussing the drama in the NBA playoffs (2:09), Lebron’s greatness and why some teams just can’t win on the road. In the NHL (12:47), why have we had to wait so long for the finals to start? Is it really bad luck to touch the conference championship trophy? Cub is all in on Vegas while Skip is pulling for the Caps. The biggest story in sports this week was the NFL’s new penalty for kneeling during the national anthem (22:24) which caused the shows twitter feed to explode. The guys also have some recommendations (36:24) for podcasts, notebooks and pants.
Recorded May 20, 2018. The Vegas Golden Knights are going to the Stanley Cup Finals (2:34). How have they defied the odds and made it this far? Skip has some theories on some of the factors contributing to their success while Josh makes it clear that he has no respect for the majority of NHL GMs. How will Vegas stack up against the Lighting or Capitals? Why is Tom Wilson running his mouth? In the NBA (19:30) Josh has a What Bugs Me, of course its related to the schedule. Skip doesn’t believe a team coached by Mike D’Antoni can win it all and that the Celtics-Cavs series is destined to go seven games. In the NHL playoffs (14:29) the Bruins-Leafs and Caps-Blue Jackets have provided some great playoff hockey, meanwhile the Flyers still haven’t figure out their goalie situation (its been 30 years). The NBA playoffs (20:44) have been really compelling especially with the possibility of Lebron getting knocked out in the first round.In Baseball (27:16) the Jays are o ff to a great start but the Red Sox are even hotter. Bartolo Colon almost blew up twitter (again) and there was a no hitter this week. The NFL (34:48) announced some silly scheduling changes, Josh recommends some new podcasts (36:55) and Skip is trying to eliminate the customer-salesperson interaction in his own What Bugs Me (42:21).
Recorded April 15, 2018. On Skip’s birthday the guys talk about the start of the season in Major League Baseball (3:22). Strange injuries, useless bench clearing brawls and how Shohei Ohtani is bringing the fun back to baseball.
