It’s the Patriots and Rams in the Super Bowl and let’s just say that Josh is not happy about it. They guys discuss all the action from the conference championship games including the overtime rules, horrible officiating and non-stop instant replays. In college basketball it was a busy and exciting week for the Duke Blue Devils. Meanwhile Skip has lifted the ban on discussing the NBA mainly to point out the historic run that James Harden is on. In baseball there have already been some big signings and a big trade. In the NHL the Flyers are hoping a coaching change can save their season and Carey Price reached a milestone. The guys also discuss the recent buzz about a possible return of baseball to Montreal.

Recorded May 27, 2018. Skip and Josh start the show by discussing the drama in the NBA playoffs (2:09), Lebron’s greatness and why some teams just can’t win on the road. In the NHL (12:47), why have we had to wait so long for the finals to start? Is it really bad luck to touch the conference championship trophy? Cub is all in on Vegas while Skip is pulling for the Caps. The biggest story in sports this week was the NFL’s new penalty for kneeling during the national anthem (22:24) which caused the shows twitter feed to explode. The guys also have some recommendations (36:24) for podcasts, notebooks and pants.

More controversy in the March Madness Bracket Challenge (4:23) and an etiquette question has the guys stumped. In the NHL playoffs (14:29) the Bruins-Leafs and Caps-Blue Jackets have provided some great playoff hockey, meanwhile the Flyers still haven’t figure out their goalie situation (its been 30 years). The NFL (34:48) announced some silly scheduling changes, Josh recommends some new podcasts (36:55) and Skip is trying to eliminate the customer-salesperson interaction in his own What Bugs Me (42:21).

In this episode: March Madness is in full swing, Skip and Josh recap the amazing first weekend of the NCAA tournament (3:53) which was full of upsets, buzzer beaters and fantastic finishes. Virginia made some history by becoming the first #1 seed to lose to a #16. Skip is wondering if the NCAA should consider moving the three-point line. There’s also a bracket challenge update where it’s clear that sometimes the less you know the better it is when making picks. Josh shares some gambling stories (24:18) and as usual has something to say about uniforms (31:30). It was also a big week in the NFL (33:41) with tons of high profile players changing teams.
